NOTICE OF GENERAL ASSEMBLY: 15 SEPTEMBER 2026

The IGS will hold a General Assembly (GA) on Tuesday 15 September 2026 from 15:30-17:00 Eastern Daylight Time. The GA is open to members of the IGS and will take place during the 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics (13ICG) in Montréal. Please note, the meeting will be held in-person.

The main items of business will be:

• Introduction of the new President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary, and the commencement of their terms
• Introduction of new IGS Council members
• Updates to members on the performance of the IGS and future plans
• The appointment of the Finance Committee Chair
• Subscription fees 
• IGS Award presentations: 
  • IGS Award & Service Award
  • IGS Young Member Award & Young Member Service Award
  • 20 & 30-Year Corporate Anniversary Awards

Any Member who wishes to suggest an item for the agenda of the General Assembly must submit a written statement to the IGS Secretariat at igssec@geosyntheticssociety.org no later than Friday, 7 August 2026.
