The International Geosynthetics Society is pleased to share a valuable new resource developed by the IGS Japanese Chapter, showcasing the important contribution geosynthetics can make toward decarbonization and more sustainable infrastructure.
Presented by Mikio Kubo, IGS Council Member, Sustainability Committee Member and representative of the IGS Japanese Chapter, the presentation explores how geosynthetic solutions can help reduce carbon emissions across civil engineering and infrastructure projects while improving long-term performance, durability, and resource efficiency.
The accompanying video provides an accessible overview of these concepts and demonstrates how innovation within the geosynthetics industry is supporting the transition toward more sustainable construction practices.
This resource reflects the high-quality technical knowledge being developed and shared by our Chapters around the world. The IGS is proud to support and promote these initiatives, helping members access the latest developments, exchange best practices, and strengthen collaboration across our global community.
We encourage all members to take a few minutes to watch the presentation and share it with colleagues who have an interest in sustainable infrastructure and geosynthetics.
