The International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) is pleased to announce that Angelo Ricciuti has been re-elected as Chair of the IGS Corporate Committee following the 2026 election of Corporate Members. Angelo has successfully served as Chair during the previous term (2024–2026) and will continue in the role for a new four-year term running from September 2026 to September 2028.
The IGS extends its sincere congratulations to Angelo and thanks all candidates who participated in the election process. The strong engagement from Corporate Members demonstrates the importance of the Corporate Committee and its role in supporting the continued growth and success of the Society.
Commenting on his election, Angelo said:
"I am deeply honored and grateful to all Corporate Members for the confidence in re-electing me as Chair of the IGS Corporate Committee.
I am humbled by the opportunity to continue contributing to our shared goals and the ongoing success of the committee.
The success of the committee during the coming years requires a collective effort and more proactive participation from all Corporate Members. By working closely together, we can build on our accomplishments, address new challenges, and create further value for our members and the wider IGS community.
I remain committed to serving with dedication, transparency, and enthusiasm throughout the coming term."
The Corporate Committee serves as a key link between the IGS and its Corporate Members, helping to develop and deliver member benefits, encourage corporate engagement, and support the growth of corporate membership worldwide. The Chair also represents Corporate Members on the IGS Council, ensuring that the perspectives and priorities of the geosynthetics industry are reflected in the Society’s strategic direction.
Angelo brings more than three decades of experience in the geosynthetics industry and has been actively involved with the IGS for many years. A Chartered Professional Engineer and long-standing member of the Italian Chapter of the IGS, he has held technical, commercial, and leadership positions across the industry and currently serves as a technical and marketing consultant for BOSTD Geosynthetics Ltd. His international experience spans more than 70 countries and includes expertise in soil stabilization, erosion control, drainage, and other geosynthetics applications.
As Corporate Committee Chair, Angelo will lead initiatives focused on enhancing Corporate Member value, strengthening engagement with industry partners, developing new membership opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the global geosynthetics community. The Corporate Committee's mission includes ensuring Corporate Members are aware of and able to maximize their benefits, exploring new opportunities for engagement, and helping to expand corporate participation within the IGS.
The IGS thanks all Corporate Members who participated in the election and looks forward to working with Angelo and the Corporate Committee as they continue to advance the Society’s mission and support the global geosynthetics industry.
